(PLEASE READ EVERYTHING) Neither one of these cameras will turn on. The D5000 has a green indicator light that comes on, but nothing more. Appearance wise , the D5000 has light to moderate scratches on the body, and light scratches on the screen. The D40x has mostly moderate scratches with what is either a one deep scratch or a very fine crack on the top as well as some sticker residue on the bottom. The purchase includes just the cameras with the straps as shown, nothing more. The pictures are of the actual items you will receive. The cameras will be shipped together in a box carefully wrapped in bubble wrap for protection.
